DAY 01/03SEP’17: ARRIVAL BALI

 

On arrival in Bali meet our guide then transfer to hotel close to airport.

 

DAY 02/04SEP’17: BALI – LABUAN BAJO – RINCA ISLAND – KALONG ISLAND (B,L,D)

 

Morning transfer to airport for flight to Labuan Bajo. Arrival in Labuan Bajo meet our guide then take short drive to harbor. to board on your boat and cruise to Rinca Island for about 1.5 hours away. Lunch will be served on boat. Rinca is one of the small islands in the Komodo National Park, home of various species of wild animals such as black buffalos, pigs, deer, monkeys, the Komodo Dragon, and birds. Together with your guide and the forestry rangers, you will trekking on this island in searching for the komodo Islands and other wildlife as well as the exotic fauna. From Rinca Island we will then proceed boating to Kalong Island, a small island covered by the mangrove trees surround the island and is the ideal habitat for the bats (flying foxes). In the late afternoon you will enjoy spectacular view when thousand of bats flying out from the island in searching for food. Adventurous, healthy and fresh dinner will be prepared for you before you sleep on boat.

 

DAY 03/05SEP’17: KALONG ISLAND – KOMODO ISLAND – PINK BEACH SNORKELING – LABUAN BAJO (B,L)

 

After breakfast, we sail to Loh Liang Station on Komodo Island, where we will do an hour trekking to Banugulung, former feeding ground to see Komodo in wild. During our way to Banugulung you will see other wildlifes such as wild pigs, deers and various colourful birds. Return to our boat for lunch then a journey to famous ‘Pink Beach’ that offers a beautiful marine life of corals and colorful fish. After spending some time here for snorkeling, we return to Labuan Bajo for Overnight at Puri Sari Beach Hotel or similar, a standard but clean and comfortable accommodation equipped with air-conditioner.

 

DAY 04/06SEP’17: HOTEL – BATU CERMIN CAVE – LABUAN BAJO AIRPORT – MAKASSAR (B)

 

After breakfast we leave the hotel to visit famous BatuCermin Cave. BatuCermin is the Indonesian name for Mirror Rock. Shown is the limestone Mirror Rock that gives this outcrop its name. Depending on the time of year the sun shines into the canyon between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. and is reflected on the walls.This creates a spectacular visual effect. At the appropriate time transfer to the airport for flight to Makassar with transit in Bali. Arrival in Arrival in Makassar meet our guide then transfer to your hotel for overnight.

 

DAY 05/07SEP’17: MAKASSAR – PALOPO – TORAJA (B,L)

 

Enjoy your breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport for flight to Palopo. After arrival to Palopo, we will drive for 2 hours to Toraja trough very scenic Road. Arrive Toraja land and start to visit the fascinating villages of Toraja with the unique Tongkonan Houses which shape like a ship bow and stern. LEMO, grave yard on the cliff. Afternoon visit LONDA, an ancient natural graves and puppets on the balcony representing the dead. KETEKESU, traditional Toraja village. Note: Between July and September (dry season) many funerals take place and during this period many Toraja migrants return home for the holidays. Your program will be tailored to allow you to attend a ceremony if you wish during your stay in Toraja.

 

 

 

DAY 06/08SEP’17: TORAJA TOUR (B,L)

 

This morning after breakfast, if the schedule permits, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in the bustling life of the Torajan’s with a visit to their, once a week traditional Buffalo market in Bolu. This market is important to the local society as buffalos and pigs are an essential part of the intricate funeral ceremony. Note: Bolu Market depends on the schedule and is only held twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday. In case there is no market on the day you visit, we will replace it by a visit to a local market in Rantepao or on the next day Later, visit BATUTUMONGA, mountainous area with fantastic scenery passing through the green paddy field. On the way visit the ROCK graves. Soft trekking passing the village to see the way of life of Toraja people. PALAWA, the oldest village of Toraja with old Tongkonan houses and rice barns surrounded. Then visit BORI, the stone showing the existence of the funeral site of the clan. Afternoon visit NANGGALA, traditional village with Fantastic Tongkonan houses surrounded. MARANTE, the hanging graves. If you want to see local Market, please ask your guide to have a stop before back Hotel.

 

DAY 07/09SEP’17: TORAJA – PALOPO – MAKASSAR – FLY TO JAYAPURA(B)

 

Enjoy your breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Palopo for flight to Makassar. Arrival in Makassar transfer to your hotel for resting before take mid night flight to Jayapura.

 

DAY 08/10SEP’17: JAYAPURA ARRIVAL – WAMENA IN BALIEM VALLEY (B)

 

Upon arrival at Jayapura Airport by flights from Jakarta or Bali at between 07 – 09.00am, meeting service by our local staff and then assisted to fly on Trigana within 40 minutes to Wamena. On arrive at Wamena airport, transfer to your hotel the BaliemPilamo, then proceed to visiting Napua hill &Sinatma village, drive down to the town for having lunch. continue to Wesaput village to see the hanging bridge, local market and surrounding. Back to your hotel for dinner on your own and overnight stay.

 

DAY 09/11SEP’17: WAMENA – TREKKING ALONG THE BALIEM RIVER (B,L-Box)

 

After breakfast transferred by car within 35 minutes – 1 hour to Sogokmo in the South of Baliem valley. Then start to have a day trek to explore some small villages of Kurima district for about 4-5 hours to Wesaput passing thru Dani sweet potatoes gardens and cross hanging bridge over Baliemriver. Along the trail you will see the local people activities and enjoy the beauty scenery as well. Lunch box will be provided enroute. Dinner on personal expenses and overnight stay at hotel.

 

DAY 10/12SEP’17: WAMENA – OBIA (Pig Feast and Dance) – WAMENA (B,L-box)

 

Breakfast at hotel, then we proceed to Obia Village (not too far from Jiwika). This village is one of the Dani village which is still preserved their old way of life, penis gourd, grass skirt, and round shape house (honai). Here, we will held pig feast and war dance. These 2 attractions allow you to have an insight view of the prehistoric age culture. In the past, any kind of problem can erupt a big war between tribes. It can be women, land possession, pig, etc. A war usually ends temporary until one party get loose. Today they will show us how the tribal war looks like. All adult men will come to the battlefield with their body ornaments. Spear, arrow, bone knifes are taken by them. After the war end, they will kill a pig and cooked together. Another interesting attraction of the Dani tribe. They cook the pork together with some sweet potatoes, grass, and vegetables on the hot stones. Almost no ingredients added. This cooking can take about 3 hours or so. Proceed to Anemoigi and Sumpaima villages, about 10 minutes ride from Obia, where we will see a 250 years old mummy at one of the old house here. Lunch box provided. Also, we will visit the natural cave at Wosilimo village. Stay overnight at BaliemPilamo.

 

DAY 11/13SEP’17: WAMENA – JAYAPURA – MANADO – TANGKOKO (B)

 

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Wamena airport for your flight back to Jayapura. Arrival at airport of Jayapura take another flight to Manado. Arrival in Manado, meeting service. Drive to BatuPutih village where the start zone of Tangkoko Nature Reserve. Arrive at BatuPutih, check in at TangkokoHills for accomodation. Afternoon, about 4 PM, entering the park area for the best natural reserve, an open grassland covered with various plants and trees, infinite variety of botanical families. Trekking approximately about two hours to see MacacaNigra (black crested monkey), Tarsier Spectrum (the tiniest monkey), Reticulated Phyton, Horn Bills, Sulawesi Bear Cuscus, Vipers, and many other birds. Very late afternoon back to accommodation

 

DAY 12/14SEP’17: TANGKOKO – TOMOHON (B)

 

Begin trekking early in the morning to the jungle to see the Tarsier Spectrum set back home after their nocturnal activities, as well as some groups of MacacaNigra moving around the forest for their morning activities. Morning time, back to accommodation for breakfast and check out process. Then leave for Tomohon City. On the way, we will make tour around the Minahasa area to visit Waruga, the ancient grave in Minahasa at Sawangan village. Continue to the Tondano Lake where we will have our lunch (Own Expenses) with Fresh fish from the lake and enjoying the view from the Tree House. After lunch continue to Hill of love (Bukit Kasih) with the spring water and 2435 stairs around this hill. After the spectacular tour, transfer back to your hotel at Gardenia Country Inn for accommodation.

 

DAY 13/15SEP’17: MINAHASA HIGHLAND TOUR (B)

 

After breakfast, transfer to Rurukan village to climb the Mahawu Mt. (approximately 15 minutes walk to the summit) to see the magnificent view of the crater and the cities surround, than continue to the traditional market at Rurukan. The tour continue to visit Pulutan village where we can see the process of making pottery and join the locals plowing their farms. Lunch stop (own expenses) will be at the Linow Lake Restaurant, a cozy place by the sulphuric lake that change colors depend on the acidity of the water. We then continue to visit Woloan village, an area with a big group of carpenters building the traditional Minahasa wooden knock-down house for sell.. Arrive in Manado check in at Novotel Manado Hotel for overnight.

 

DAY 14/16SEP’17: MANADO – BUNAKEN – MANADO (B)

 

After Breakfast at hotel transfer to the pier to take a boat for sailing to BUNAKEN ISLAND. Arrive on BUNAKEN ISLAND , we change our boat into the one with glass bottom boat (Catamaran) to enjoy the marine life full of beautiful and colorful fish and corals in this National Park of Bunaken. Lunch served on this island (Own expenses). Afternoon, back to MANADO for overnight

 

 

 

 

 

DAY 15/17SEP’17: MANADO – SURABAYA – CEMORO LAWANG (B)

 

Morning transfer for flight to Surabaya. Arrival Surabaya meet our guide then direct transfer to Bromo Area for overnight.

 

DAY 16/18SEP’17: BROMO TOUR – MOJOKERTO – YOGYAKARTA (B)

 

Morning call about 3.45 am, by Chartered 4WD, leave hotel for PenanjakanHill , witnessing the Spectacular Sunrise , by the same Vehicle you will pass the sand sea to reach the crater. Back to hotel, breakfast and take shower before transfer to Mojokerto for train journey to Yogya. Arrival Yogya meet our guide then transfer to Hotel for overnight.

 

DAY 17/19SEP’17: BOROBUDUR TEMPLE – YOGYAKARTA CITY TOUR (B)

 

We continue our program visiting Borobudur temple. Borobudur is Buddhist temple and the biggest temple in the world and also one of the seven world’s wonders. It is located 65km to the north of Yogyakarta city. Arrived in Borobudur location, we will explore the Borobudur temple and the local guide who has very excellent knowledge about the temples, you will have complete Informations about Borobudur and the temples philosophy. Continue with a visit to nearby Mendut temple. Older than Borobudur, this pyramid-shaped temple houses three impressively carved stone statues; You’ll also visit Pawon temple, a simple but beautiful monument known for its precise symmetry. After temple visit, you’ll get a taste for local life with a horse cart ride through Candirejo village. Known as a dokar, the local horse cart will take you through this peaceful, charming village. You’ll travel along small lanes lined with traditional houses and stop to see village activities such as making cassava crackers, playing the gamelan and harvesting local crops. Following the dokar ride, return to Yogyakarta.Then Yogyakarta city tour for visiting Sultan Palace is the most historitical palace as well as the symbol of Yogyakarta City. Then, the trip will be continued to Water Castle. This place was a swimming pool for the king and all of his families members getting together during the day off. It is located the sultan palace areas. The trip will be proceeded to the centre of handicraft industry in Yogyakarta. There are two famous handicraft industries here, the first is Batik (Hand-woven) industry and the second is Silver Crafts industry. We take you first to visit the manufacture of Batik Industry at Tirtodipuran Area. it is about 3 km from the down town. Here you can see the real process of batik production and visit the showroom. Then, we take you to Kota Gede Area where the Centre of Silver Craft Industry is here. You also can see about the production process of silver become many kinds of jeweler and silver handicraft.

 

DAY 18/20SEP’17: PRAMBANAN – MEDAN – BRASTAGI (B)

 

Morning visit Prambanan temple, a Hindust Temple. It is also called a thousand statues temples. There are so many Hindust statues are lying down on the temples area. Following your visit to Prambanan, continue to the twin temples of Plaosan. Located just 1 kilometer from Prambanan, this temple combines Buddhist and Hindu elements and has over 100 domes and dozens of intricate carvings. You’ll then proceed to Sewu, a Buddhist temple located 800 meters from Prambanan. Here, you will explore the 257 buildings that fill the grassy, rectangular complex. Then transfer to airport for flight to Medan. Arrival in Medan meet our guide then transfer to Brastagi for overnight

 

 

 

 

 

 

DAY 19/21SEP’17: BRASTAGI – SAMOSIR (B)

 

Morning travelling around the Berastagi town by visiting traditional fruit market as well as the Gundaling hill in Berastagi for the enchanting panoramic view of Sinabung and Sibayak volcanoes. Then The journey will be farther south of North Sumatra interesting places area, to Samosir Island -Toba Lake (drive approx. 6 hours). Along the way, we will have some stops, coffee breaks visit the Dokan Village, the traditional Batak village. Then proceed the trip to a fabulous tourist attraction around North Sumatra, the charming Sipiso-piso waterfall. It would be great to have a coffee break at Simarunjung village while enjoying Toba Lake view and surrounding mountains landscape. The tour trip will proceed to Parapat town to get a ferry/boat across Samosir Island – Toba Lake for overnight.

 

DAY 20/22SEP’17: SAMOSIR TOUR (B)

 

Your holiday around North Sumatra tourism would be lovely by visiting Ambarita village, to see the ancient court yard of the Siallagan’s tribe which is still originally decorated with its stone chair, stone table and surrounded with traditional Batak’s houses. Later on we will travel farther to visit Simanindo village, another tourist attractions around Toba Lake to see some traditional Batak dancing. And we will also visit another interesting places around Somosir Island Lake Toba, Tomok Village to see the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar graves yard. Back to hotel for lunch and and resting

 

DAY 21/23SEP: SAMOSIR – PARAPAT – MEDAN – JAKARTA – DEPARTURE (B)
